8 slices of bread of choice (Base Culture or a sourdough are great options)
6 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 Tbsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp 100% maple syrup
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Additional cinnamon and maple syrup for sprinkling
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Grease an 8x10 glass Pyrex pan
Whisk all eggs in a large bowl
Add the milk, cinnamon, and 3 Tbsp maple syrup to the bowl and mix well
Cut the bread into small pieces (big cubes) and place in the baking pan
Cover the bread with the egg mixture and toss well
Sprinkle the walnuts over the bread mixture. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon and drizzle of maple syrup as desired
Bake for 40-45 minutes
